What is an M3U File?

An M3U file is a plain text file that contains information about media files and their locations. It's commonly used for IPTV playlists, streaming services, and media players.

M3U files typically contain:

  • #EXTM3U - Header that identifies the file as an M3U playlist
  • #EXTINF - Extended information about each channel/track
  • URL - The actual stream or file location

Pro Tips
  • Use the Search: Type group names separated by commas (e.g., "USA, Sports, Movies") to filter multiple categories at once.
  • Large Files: For files over 100MB, the processing may take longer. Be patient!
  • JSON Builder: If your IPTV provider offers an API, use the JSON Builder for better organized channels.
  • Multi-File Merge: Use the Multi Editor to combine channels from multiple M3U files.
